This rather delightful suburb is centrally located, with the city centre being only a brief bus journey or short walk away.

With the vibrant and bustling Gloucester Road running along its westerly border, St Andrew’s does have a distinctly urban and somewhat bohemian character, and one can find an abundance of charming and independent cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops on their doorstep. Community spirit runs high, with street parties aplenty, hosted by local businesses of the Gloucester Road, community groups, societies and local churches, making it a fun and exciting place to live. Arguably the heart of the area is its most cherished park; situated on a grassy slope, the park offers all a welcome refuge from city life. From picnic opportunities, local concerts, adventure playgrounds and a paddling pool, St Andrew’s Park is a valued amenity, and locals are very proud of this little oasis. The majority of houses were built in the nineteenth century, with some of these buildings having been converted into apartments, allowing the area to appeal to young professionals. However, those that are still single residences are highly sought-after, with the large homes surrounding the park, and the terraces close to the excellent primary schools being the most coveted, making St Andrew’s a fashionable and desirable place to live.
