Located just half a mile from the City Centre, Kingsdown was Bristol’s first Georgian suburb.

The area still boasts a fine collection of Georgian homes of varying shapes and sizes lining cobbled streets, emitting a feeling of a bygone era. There is also a mix of Victorian Villas and terraces encircling private squares, as well as some purpose-built apartment blocks and modern developments. This amalgamation of the old and new helps to give Kingsdown its distinctly urban and bohemian, yet rather distinguished ambience. Residents of the area enjoy some spectacular views of the city, especially given that Kingsdown is situated a top of one of Bristol’s many hills. Tracking the hill’s ascent is a vibrant high street with peppered with popular pubs and cafes, whilst at its base lies Stokes Croft made famous by its Banksy street art and its offering of clubs, bar and restaurants. Its central location means there is easy access not just to the city centre, but also to Clifton and the Waterfront, meaning it is a firm favourite for professionals and families alike.
